The best AI visibility tools in 2026, honestly compared
7 min read · updated July 11, 2026
Entry price per month
Disclosure up front: Geofound is our product. This is the round-up we'd want to read anyway: real prices, real platform lists, and honest notes on when each competitor is the better choice. All facts checked July 2026 against each vendor's site and independent reviews; pricing changes, so verify before buying.
AI visibility tools all answer the same question (does AI recommend you?), but they differ sharply on three axes: which platforms they track, what they cost, and what happens after the measurement. That third axis is the one most buyers miss, and the one that determines whether the subscription changes anything.
Profound: the enterprise pick
Profound is the category's enterprise heavyweight: Fortune 500 logos, SOC-2 Type II, SSO, a REST API, and coverage across ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Copilot, Claude, Grok, Meta AI and DeepSeek. Its Conversation Explorer estimates how often topics actually come up in AI conversations. Genuinely differentiated data.
- Price: from $499/month (Lite).
- Best for: enterprises with procurement requirements, security reviews and analyst teams that will live in the dashboards.
- Caveat: independent reviews note heavy, sometimes slow dashboards, and it's analytics-first: it shows you where you stand; the execution plan is still on you.
Peec AI: the mid-market favorite
Peec is the polished mid-market choice: thousands of marketing teams, fast product velocity, strong competitive gap analysis, and multi-country tracking (up to 3 countries per project on Pro+), which most rivals including us don't offer yet. Tracks ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews, Google AI Mode and Microsoft Copilot; Claude and Grok don't appear on published tiers.
- Price: from ~€89/month (Starter), per published reviews.
- Best for: marketing teams running multiple projects or markets who want strong analytics and a responsive vendor.
- Caveat: API access is enterprise-only, and the recommendations stop short of executable playbooks. We wrote a full Geofound vs Peec comparison, concessions included.
Otterly.AI: the budget entry point
Otterly is the cheapest credible way to start monitoring: ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews and Microsoft Copilot, link-citation tracking, and a GEO audit tool with crawlability and structured-data guidance.
- Price: from $29/month (Lite, 15 prompts), 14-day trial. Checked August 2026.
- Best for: solo marketers and small brands who want basic visibility numbers without committing real budget.
- Caveat: fewer platforms than everything else here (Claude, Google AI Mode and Gemini cost extra), prompt limits are tight, and the API starts at Standard.
Frase: the content-suite crossover
Frase comes at this from the opposite direction: it is a content optimization suite first (SERP research, an optimization editor, article workflows) that now includes AI visibility monitoring, with the engines covered varying by tier (ChatGPT, Google's AI surfaces, Perplexity, Claude, Gemini per its published plans). Reviewers recommend it to beginners because tracking and fixing live in one product: it shows where AI mentions you, then hands you an editor to work on the content.
- Price: from $39-49/month (Starter), 7-day trial, no credit card. Checked July 2026.
- Best for: solo marketers and content teams who already want an SEO writing suite and would rather have visibility monitoring bundled into it than run a separate tool.
- Caveat: it is a content tool with visibility bolted on, not a visibility tool. Monitoring depth (sampling cadence, shopping surfaces, competitor gap analysis) is where the dedicated trackers on this page go deeper. We wrote a full Geofound vs Frase comparison, concessions included.
Geofound: the action-layer pick (ours)
Geofound tracks up to 8 surfaces (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity, Grok, Google AI Overviews, Google AI Mode and ChatGPT Shopping), core engines daily, with honest confidence bands. The differentiating bet: measurement is table stakes, so the product is built around what happens next. For every question a competitor wins, it reads the answers, scrapes the sources the AI cited, explains why the competitor gets recommended, produces a step-by-step playbook (the page to publish, the sections it needs, where), drafts the content on request, and measures your visibility before and after you act.
- Price: from $39/month (Starter); all 6 core engines from Growth ($169), Grok and Gemini as add-ons (included on Scale).
- Best for: teams that want a to-do list, not just a chart, and e-commerce brands that need the ChatGPT Shopping surface.
- Caveat: no multi-country tracking yet, no Copilot, no public API, and we're the smallest company on this page.
How to choose
